Tournik-it: haemostasis system for massive bleeding

TOURNIK-IT is a haemostasis system used to control severe and potentially fatal bleeding. It is a simple and easy-to-use device, especially in cases of limb trauma. It works by compressing the blood vessels at the root of the limb, reducing blood flow to the affected area and thus stopping the bleeding.

The haemostasis system can be used in extreme emergency situations involving massive bleeding, such as road accidents, gunshot or stab wounds, severe limb trauma and accidents at work.

It is important to use TOURNIK-IT correctly and only when necessary, as improper use can cause tissue damage or aggravate the situation.

It is essential to follow the instructions and guidelines for the correct use of a tourniquet and, if possible, to receive specific training on the use of these devices.

Innovative Italian design

Innovative Italian design that uses a well-known technique with the addition of an important technological solution aimed at saving money and versatility. In fact, when the expiry date is reached, the removable black bar can be replaced with the blue X-Pander Training Bar, transforming the old tourniquet that is no longer usable into a training device.

Identified and distinguished by the blue colour of the bar, conventionally associated with training devices, thus avoiding confusion with expired black tourniquets.

Hundreds of uses

In addition, the X-Pander Training Bar can also be purchased separately to recycle damaged or expired ā€œCā€-shaped tourniquets from any manufacturer.

Once the old operating bar has been removed, the new blue bar can be easily applied to create a new and distinct training tourniquet. The bar can be reused hundreds of times.
